This week America lost a true hero and real patriot, General Colin Powell. When he died, Donald Trump trashed this man who had devoted his life to this company, much of it while wearing a military uniform. The Republicans I grew up with would never have allowed an elected official to smear such a man of honor. They would have stood in the halls of Congress and denounced such crass and ignorant behavior.
