Victim identified in I-55 fatal crash

A Sturdivant, Missouri, resident died Wednesday, Feb. 22, in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 55 at Cape Girardeau. A release from Cape Girardeau Police Department states Redawn Milam, 36, who was driving a 2016 White Mack CXU truck pulling an empty trailer, died when the vehicle collided with a 2015 Red International truck pulling an empty trailer driven by Eric Leake of 45, of Fulton, Missouri...

Chaffee man faces assault, sex charges

A Scott County man was arrested on domestic assault charges following an investigation by Scott City Police. At about 4:15 p.m. Feb. 20, officers with the Scott City Police Department arrested Brett Anthony Medley, 23, of Chaffee, Missouri, on charges of domestic assault third degree, according to Scott City Police Capt. EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. — Peggy Sue Owens, age 82, of East Prairie died Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri. Born Aug. 14, 1940, at East Prairie, to the late Matthew Washington Cummins and Amanda Evelyn Cave Cummins, she was a 1961 graduate of East Prairie High School.
