EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. — James E. “Jim” Cloud, 86, died June 13, 2019, at the Miner Nursing Center. Born Dec. 14, 1932, in Tiptonville, Tenn., son of the late James Claude Cloud and Hazel Odell Reynolds Cloud, he was of Church of Christ belief and had attended Diehlstadt High School. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany from 1951-1953 and was a member of the Infantry Regiment. He was employed at Missouri Department of Transportation as a mechanic and maintenance worker and had been a private airplane pilot for over 40 years as well as a corporate pilot.
