Your paper has been photographing Officer Andrew Cooper for something like 20 years, but the minute he is charged with killing someone while drunk driving, his mugshot is unavailable? Sikeston DPS has been draconian in their prosecution of drunk drivers who don’t wear a badge, while turning a blind eye to officers doing the same things. The implication seems to be that only DPS officers are responsible enough to do things like drive and carry firearms while intoxicated. Will that be reinforced with today’s tragic news?
