Domestic disturbance leads to man being jailed for warrant
NEW MADRID, Mo. - On the night of May 22, officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 300 block of Pinnell.
While one subject was gathering his belongings to leave, an officer checked both the man and woman for warrants. He learned that the man had a New Madrid city warrant for failing to appear in municipal court. Once the warrant was confirmed, the man was placed under arrest and taken to the police station for booking.
On the morning of May 30, an officer was at a call on Pinnell Lane when he saw a vehicle at a house next door that he believed was reported stolen in Texas County, Mo., earlier in the week.
The officer ran the car’s license plate and confirmed that it was the stolen car, then called for a tow truck to impound the vehicle. While no one has been charged at this time, the investigation is ongoing in Texas County.
