Man arrested for trespassing and public intoxiation
NEW MADRID, Mo. - On the afternoon of April 10, officers responded to the area of Pinnell and St. Christopher streets for suspicious activity.
A citizen saw a white male try to open the back doors of two houses, then he walked north through some yards near Beverly Drive. A short time later an officer found the man walking between two houses carrying an open beer.
The man explained that he was looking for someone at the houses but couldn’t explain why he tried to open the doors. The officer placed the man under arrest and charged him with trespassing and public intoxication.
On the morning of April 12, an officer took a report where a woman tried to run a car off the road on Highway 61. The complainant was an employee of the Missouri Children’s Division and is the suspect’s case manager.
Based on the statement of the complainant and a witness, it appeared that the suspect intentionally tried to run the victim’s car off the road. A warrant for assault was issued for the suspect’s arrest and she was arrested by New Madrid officers on April 13.
