SCOTT CITY, Mo. — A Charleston, Missouri, man and Jackson, Missouri, man were injured in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday, Nov. 6 in Cape Girardeau County.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 4:50 p.m. on southbound Interstate 55 at the 88.8-mile marker as the southbound vehicle driven by a 26-year-old male from Jackson struck the rear of the southbound vehicle of a 24-year-old Charleston man. This caused the Charleston man’s vehicle to struck the rear of a “truck-tractor” operated by a 60-year-old man from St. Louis, Missouri. The Jackson man’s vehicle then ran off the left side of the road, struck the cable barrier, overcorrected and struck the “truck-tractor.”
The Charleston and Jackson man received moderate injuries and were transported by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
SIKESTON — Two Sikeston women sustained minor injuries in a three-vehicle crash Tuesday, Nov. 5 in Scott County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred at 4:40 p.m. on Highway HH, half a mile north of Sikeston, as two westbound vehicles driven by a 34-year-old Sikeston woman and a 57-year-old man from Sikeston were stopped in traffic, and the westbound vehicle operated by a 23-year-old Chaffee, Missouri, man struck the rear of the Sikeston man’s vehicle then struck the Sikeston woman’s vehicle.
The 34-year-old Sikeston woman and a 58-year-old female passenger of the Sikeston man’s vehicle were taken by ambulance to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
