WHITEWATER -- Helen Ruth Wilson, 80, died July 6, 2012, at Chaffee Nursing Center. Born May 6, 1932, at Puxico, to the late James Ervin and Anna Frances Westbrook Maples, she lived in Chaffee until 1970 before moving to Whitewater. She was a member of the Puxico Eastern Star Chapter 422 and operated the concession stand at Lake Girardeau for 14 years...

HAYWARD -- Michael William Ross, 59, died July 7, 2012, at his home. Born Sept. 9, 1952, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late John and Mable Dunn Ross. Survivors include: one daughter, Toshia Briley of the state of Tennessee; one sister, Patricia Frankum of Willis Point, Texas; two brothers, John Wayen Ross of the state of Mississippi and Gordon Lay of Steelville; and three grandchildren...

CHARLESTON -- John David Whitehead, 63, died July 8, 2012, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Born Nov. 14, 1948, in Mississippi County, to the late William C. and Lucy Pauline Farmer Whitehead, he had lived most of his life in Charleston where he was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church. A graduate of Charleston High School, he was employed at French Implement Company for many years until his retirement...

SIKESTON -- Kylie Danielle DeWitt, 23, died July 8, 2012, near Sikeston of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born June 14, 1989, to Kevin DeWitt of Sikeston and Alyssa Roberts DeWitt, also of Sikeston, she was a 2007 graduate of Kelly High School in Benton and had attended Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield...
