Catholic Schools Week was celebrated across the United States from Jan. 26 through Feb. 1 as a way to recognize the importance, value and contribution of Catholic education to the church and the world. Each day offered a special theme for students with Wednesday, Jan. 29, set aside as "Celebrating the Nation." Students at Immaculate Conception Grade School in New Madrid hosted a special flag raising ceremony to mark the event.
