A crew demolished the former New Madrid Baptist Church parsonage due to costly roof repairs. The church plans to eventually build a pavilion on the site for congregational use.

A crew from Tim Farrenburg Dirt Works tore down the former New Madrid Baptist Church parsonage on Davis Street Jan. 22 and 23. According to Jeff Polk, pastor, the parsonage was unoccupied and had roof leaks making the costs for repairs prohibitive. Eventually he said the church would like to use the lot to construct a pavillion for use by the congregation.
