Charges are expected to be filed today against a 29-year-old man who started a fire at an apartment on Matthews Street at 11 p.m. Monday in Sikeston. According to Capt. Jim McMillen, public information officer with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety, the man was said to have turned over a bed in the home and then set the apartment on fire. The victim, a 27-year-old Sikeston woman, tried to stop her boyfriend from setting the place on fire, but he pushed her down...
