War Eagles flying high this season

The SEMO War Eagles 10U travel baseball team recently competed in The Annual Fighting Squirrel Wood Bat Classic in Charleston, Missouri. The War Eagles went undefeated in pool play qualifying them for the championship game this past Sunday against the Jackson Tribe Red. The eight teams that competed in the event were from Charleston, New Madrid, 4 teams from Jackson, and Perryville. Your SEMO War Eagles allowed only 5 hits and scored 55 runs in the tournament...

Sikeston baseball coach Alan Scheeter resigns

Alan Scheeter has resigned as Sikeston's head baseball coach after five seasons. Scheeter, who confirmed his departure by text on Thursday, will remain at the school and as part of the Sikeston football coaching staff. The 1991 Sikeston graduate took over the baseball program after serving 15 years as an assistant under longtime coach Kevin Self in 2012.
