Watching the events at the Capitol last week I, like many, could only cringe. What happened was disgusting, inexcusable and just plain sad. The fallout has been just as sad and while most of the fingers have been pointed at the President and Republicans, there is plenty of blame to go around...

Hello, we’re still on the lookout for a black and tan German Shepard with a black collar. On Dec. 27 our gate blew open and one of our dogs ran off. He isn’t aggressive or mean. Just say his name Midnight and he will come. He’s just scared and nervous. If able to catch, please take to the vet located between Break Time and Colton’s Steak House, in Sikeston. He’s chipped and a reward will be given. Thank you.
