Our moral compass should guide nation

Saturday, December 21, 2013

Let me take this brief opportunity to wish each of you a very Merry Christmas. And let it be noted that I said Merry Christmas instead of the progressive "Happy Holidays."

You know, the left gets offended with the term Merry Christmas. Well let me express my belief that I get offended when the left attempts to remove Christ from this most special of days.

Though unrelated, the Christian right - that would be most of us - have voiced their concerns about this progressive, left-leaning, political correct direction in the case of Duck Dynasty.

Granted, the Duck Dynasty comments and Christmas are unrelated but there is a familiar thread.

The tolerant left is tolerant only when you support their position - be it on Duck Dynasty or Christmas or a host of other issues.

But notice the groundswell of support that is growing from the backlash over this insane drift in the wrong direction.

If you are offended in some way by the term Merry Christmas, guess what? I don't care!

I abhor those who oppose any semblance of Christian values in our changing society. Why do they feel comfortable attempting to impose minority values on the vast majority of Americans?

And as important, why do we allow a progressive national media to carry the water for these progressive fools?

Examples of this progressive bullying are abundant and, unfortunately, those with a true moral compass are all too often silent on these issues.

But mark my words - no more!

The moral majority - a term that has fallen in popularity over the years - still dominates this great country.

Does the progressive left not have the intelligence to look at the history of America to recognize the values that formed the foundation for this great nation?

Silence no more!

Merry Christmas to each of you. May you pause during this special time to thank the good Lord for our blessings and for the true reason we celebrate the birth of Christ.
