Time to reflect, look ahead with end-of-year routines

Somewhere deep in the recesses of my desk are a heap of rubber-bound calendars dating back to the 1970s. It’s a company ritual that each year around this time, neat, new cellophane-wrapped calendars mysterious arrive at our desks. Being an obsessive scribbler, I favor the flip calendars instead of the desk models. Opting for a desk calendar would result in a mishmash of unreadable notes and pseudo-artsy designs only a mother could love...

Hello Southeast Missouri, hello Miner. My issue now is school buses. With it rainy, cloudy and getting dark, why don’t you have your headlights on? And don’t you do pre-trip, post-trip? I saw one today with a headlight out. I know you don’t do pre-trip? You just get in there and sit on the seat and go. So you could care less about the kids safety or anyone else out there. You just want to a dang paycheck and go back to the house. Pay attention to safety. Your supervisor is just as guilty as you are. C’mon there Sikeston. Let’s get it together. Good night.
