DEXTER - B.A. Promotions, Inc., of Dexter is proud to announce the new directors for the 2003 B.A. Sports Show-Me Showcase. Former coaches Ed Arnzen, Ron Cook and Lennies McFerren have joined the Showcase staff. The Showcase is a college tryout for area high school juniors and seniors, as well as junior college freshmen and sophomores. Born April 20, 1929, at Harviell, son of the late Roy Jasper and Edna Lucinda Dickens Carroll, he was a lifelong resident of Southeast Missouri and lived in Dexter for the past 14 years. ...

MOREHOUSE - Mary Adeline Gunder, 59, formerly of Lexington, died at 6 p.m. Aug. 11, 2003, at her home. Born July 22, 1944, in Gutherie Center, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Charles William and Mabel Marie Campbell Baird. Her husband, Jody D. Gunter, preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 1985...

SCOTT CITY - Gary Francis Stubenrauch, 60, died at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 12, 2003, in Van Buren. Born Feb. 20, 1943, in Cape Girardeau, son of the late Bernard George "Barney" and Coena Anna Bucher Stubenrauch, he was a conductor with the Union Pacific Railroad. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, he was also a member of the National Rifle Association, Eagles Clubs in Cape Girardeau and Sikeston and the United Transportation Union of Railroads...
