It's interesting that the Sikeston paper would print the results of a karate tournament out of a school from Cape Girardeau. Sports must be getting kind of slow in Sikeston. They're just carbon copies of the original anyway. I truly believe that the reason there is so much crime in a small town like Sikeston is because the police department isn't doing their job. ...

PUXICO -- Donald Levi Parsley, 80, died on Aug. 12, 2007, at his home near Puxico. Born Oct. 21, 1926, in Puxico, son of the late D.T. and Vida Allen Parsley, he had lived in the Puxico area all his life. He was a row crop and livestock farmer and a road grader operator for Duck Creek Township for several years. He was a member of the Duck Creek Baptist Church for more than 50 years and had served as secretary-treasurer for many years. He belonged to the Mingo Tractor Club...
