Bible is where to turn about end of times

Thursday, September 2, 2021

With everything going on in our world, many have been asking are we living in the end times. Many base their end times thinking by what they see on the news, a youtube program, or false preachers instead of the Word of God.

Today, let’s take a moment and look at a very basic overview from the Bible about the end of the world.

First, the Bible clearly says there will be an end to this world. Revelation 1:7- “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.”

When Jesus Christ returns he will judge the world and reign as the visible King of kings. Matthew 24:36- ”But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”

Although there are some signs given (wars, famine, pestilence, and many more) Jesus said that we would never know the exact time for the world’s end. Instead of letting the news leading us to fear, let’s look at what we can do with the reality of the end times.

First, get ready by believing in Jesus Christ. John 3:36 ”He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” Matthew 24:4- “And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.”

Do not fall into deception by embracing what the world (news, false teachers, etc.) is telling you about the end. If you are a Christian living in fear you have accepted the deception of the world and need to repent and live in confidence in the Lord. John 14:1-4 ”Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were

not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will

come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

Stop letting or allowing your heart to be worried, because (as mentioned) the end is good news for the Christian as Jesus will return for us (before the future tribulation).

This week instead of watching the news or listening to some fearful false teacher be sure and read the Bible.

Finally, why not tell someone about how to be saved so they will have a great future when Jesus returns.

If you are interested in Prophecy, Sunday- Sept. 19 at 6 p.m., I will be teaching a 5 week course called “END TIMES 101” open to the entire community at First Baptist Church. This free course will cover a basic over view of what the Bible teaches about the End Times and all in person participants will receive a free study book.
