Top 10 Jesus Christ list

I love top 10s. Unfortunately, being a MIZZOU graduate we have not been on any lately (wrestling excluded). As we remember and celebrate the cross and the resurrection of Jesus Christ this week here is a top ten on Jesus Christ to think about.

1. Jesus is fully God- John 10:30- “I and my Father are one.”

2. Jesus is fully human when God became incarnate. That word means in the flesh. John 1:1,14- “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

3. Jesus died for all sin. John 1:29- “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”

4. Jesus beat Satan on the cross. Colossians 2:15- “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”

5. Jesus conquered death. John 11:25- “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:”

6. Jesus is returning. Acts 1:11- “Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”

7. Jesus will judge the world. Revelation 19:11- “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.”

8. Jesus is returning to rapture His church. John 14:1-4- Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.”

9. Jesus is the only way to God. John 14:6- “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

10. Everyone should believe in Jesus today!!! John 3:36- ““He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

This weekend make sure you are in a church. If you do not have a church please come to First Baptist Church- Good Friday service on Friday at 7 p.m. and Sunrise Service (6:30 a.m.) or Resurrection Sunday Service (10:30 a.m.). Remember Jesus is the Risen One!
